| McMann and Tate, the original Madmen! |
+1 Where are you watching reruns? |
I saw some of the color re-runs and their teeth are terrible! It looks really shocking since they are actors on TV. Obviously from smoking and people didn't whiten them like they do now. |
Not really. Twiggy started the ultra-thin craze in the 1960’s. |
I loved the house...the staircase, the kitchen. I wanted to be just like her with the cute little girl, and the cool clothes and cute husband (I thought the second Darren was much cuter). But with age I realize both Darren's were challenging personalities and a nice staircase does not make a happy life....also, my babies were brunettes.
A great show |
Not really. Look at flapper fashion. Silent films of the era. Twiggy was not new. |
| I loved that show when I was a kid. I soooo badly wanted to be Samantha. |
They were equally attractive, but their personalities were markedly different. The first was a loveable neurotic, the second was an a$$hole. |
A couple of the seasons are on Roku!! |
| Neither of the Darrens were really cute, per se, though I guess the first had a very 50s/60s look and the second was more 70s, so the natural hair seems more appealing to our modern eyes. However I read an interview with Elizabeth Montgomery's husband years ago (he was the producer) and he said that Elizabeth said the first actor was the better kisser LMAO. |
Haha the second was gay, that's probably why she thought that. |
I thought both were gay. |

This is interesting

NP here. Flappers were chubby by today’s standards. I agree it all changed with Twiggy. |
Silent film stars were hardly thin by today's standards. Theda Bara, Louise Brooks, Vivian Reed, Clara Bow...none of these women were thin by today's standards. They were all fine weight and very beautiful, but not skinny women. And in the 30's curves were very much in vogue. Google Jean Harlow. Beautiful luscious curvy body, hourglass figure. Ditto the 40's pin up girls. Betty Grable for example. Jane Russell The 50s and 60s prior to Twiggy produced Jayne Mansfield and Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor |
