Funny you should mention that. I do have a beach house. And no, I do not expect taxpayers to bail us out if and when it falls into the sea. It's been nice while it lasted.

So you don't have flood insurance? Sweet!

Np. At our place we do. But it would cover a fraction of damage if there were to be a catastrophic flood

Why? Because your sacred cow is being questioned? And if you don’t think there is big money behind these “organic” pro climate crisis protests, I have a bridge to sell you.

A PP and Jeff informed you all the ways you’re wrong. Have the self respect to be a little embarrassed.

First of all, there isn't a list of 500 names included with the letter. Instead, there are 14 well-known climate change deniers listed. The main organizer, Guus Berkhout, was formerly employed by Shell Oil. The "MIT astrophysicist", Richard Lindzen, hasn't worked for MIT since 2013 and now works for the CATO Institute. The rest are more of the same.

Basically, this is false advertising (there aren't 500 scientists listed) bought and paid for by right-wing crack pots.

From the link:

"A global network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have the honor to address to Your Excellencies the attached European Climate Declaration, for which the signatories to this letter are the national ambassadors."

The signatures are from the ambassadors representing the 500 scientists and professionals in the field.

? Where on that letter are there 500 signatories? I saw maybe a dozen or so, and the couple I looked up were crackpots. One stated that cigarettes didn't cause cancer.

And what type of "national ambassadors" are they? Because again, the few I checked up on were not "national ambassadors".

The climate change deniers (aka, the Petroleum lobby) are utilizing the tactics, and in some cases, the same discredited researchers, as the Big Tobacco lobby.

You should also watch the documentary, “Merchants of Doubt.” Very helpful in placing this “scientific” doubt in context.
