DC and MD drivers always tend to be more cautious. Probably because they know to be wary when the see VA plates.

Nonsense. Maryland drivers are the worst drivers in the region, hands down. Or in the case of MD drivers hands and eyes on their phone.

I don’t think DC drivers are any better. I live among them. All equally assoles.

This region is full of bad drivers and a$$holes but MD drivers are the worst. Inattentive, bad skills, nose in their phones, think they are above the law etc. DC drivers are live in neighborhoods inundated with traffic and generally are pretty sympathetic to more vulnerable road users and the neighborhoods they drive through because the shoe is often on the other foot. MD drivers on the other hand often live in partitioned neighborhoods closed to through traffic and all smugly think they are the wiser and better for it and it is someone else's problem if they blow through stop signs while texting their sister.

No, VA drivers are the worst because they are the most clueless drivers on the road. MD drivers are aggressive but they know what they are doing and where they are going but VA drivers are completely oblivious to their surrounding. They seem lost, even in their own state

+2

VA drivers are simply too incompetent to drive. They're either lost, scared, distracted or just totally disoriented. Maryland and DC drivers might drive assertively, but at least they know what they're doing.

I’m a waver, even if it’s my turn. If someone even remotely looks like they are in a hurry, not paying attention, look angry, or have rolled through the stop sign and crosswalk....

... I wave them on.

I was hit once by a guy who blew through an intersection. It’s never worth it to me to be first at the expense of another careless driver. Takes four seconds to let them go. So I do.

I also hate stop sign camera tickets and there seem to be a lot set up in DC

At any rate, Alive Life = Happy life.
