What age did your kids watch Friends?

Why would anyone subject people to that moronic, white privileged show?

Never?

Why would my teens want to watch a 30 year old show?

Just think about when they got free porn and didn’t want to turn the tv off. There are many instances like this - I wouldn’t let a young teen watch it.

I was born in 1975. Know what show I really enjoyed when I was 5 and then later in my childhood through reruns? Three's Company. I enjoy that show even to this day - Jack is just too darn funny and always makes me laugh. Think I understood the sexual innuendo jokes as a kid? Even when I got older and realized the jokes, think I was traumatized from them?

Tame sexual jokes from a sitcom will not ruin your teenager.

My kids aren’t old enough to have any interest in this show but I know neighbors tweens and teens are watching this on Netflix. My parents would watch this with me in the room all the time when I was 5 , I don’t really think it’s that bad.

My 10 year old has been watching it with me for a few months. There are certain episodes or parts of episodes I don't let him watch but he loves Joey.
Joey on the 100K Pyramid is a favorite. Paper! Snow! A Ghost! LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKwUO-AcAfI

+1. I wish I could wipe it from my memory entirely. I had little else to watch in English on overseas trips in early aughts so these annoying characters are burned into my brain. My kids do watch it but less than a year or so ago. I don't prevent them but I'm not encouraging it.

I'm pretty sure it's the #1 show on Netflix....tons of kids watching it. DS watched this summer. He's 14. Also likes The Office and BBT.

my ten year old was Joey Tribbiani for Halloween. It was all How you doin and sandwiches. He is 13 now and it't the office and Shitt's Creek.

My DD12 didn't really like it, but she watches Grey's Anatomy (with me). Her friends have all already watched every season of greys.

To you. Many, many people like it and have good memories watching it.

It's so dumb. Parks and Rec is much funnier and a lot less dated.

I don’t think kids really care about about things being dated. Mine like watching Full House and I remember watching Golden Girls with my mom when it went off the air when I was a baby. At least Friends didn’t end until 2004.

My 12 year old is almost finished with the whole series. She loves it.

This is way too young, in my opinion. I'm sure she does love it, but it doesn't change the fact that she's too young for it. How about the one where there is a single condom and they are determining who gets it? Or Joey can't remember the names of the girls he sleeps with or Joey tells a sob story in order to get girls to sleep with him or Rachel's boss is into handcuffing Chandler as a sexual game in her office? Or where Monica and Chandler are having sex in a closet at the hospital while Rachel is in labor and Rachel's dad walks in and starts telling them if they want to have a baby what position they should be having sex. You think this is okay for a 12 year old?
