Where do the homeschoolers live?

Oh! And I live in PG County near College Park.

Where do you live OP? That might help? Do a Facebook group search, lots of opportunities to get together there.

There tend to be more Homeschoolers in lower cost of living communities partly because the schools aren’t as good and partly because if you are spending $800k on a house, you generally need two incomes to make it work. Tons of Homeschoolers in Silver Spring, TP, Route 1 corridor, Greenbelt, and Bowie.

In VA look into Compass.

North Arlington here! There are a few of us!

Second the recommendation for Compass!

Not many Bible thumpers in Arlington. Homeshooling is largely a Jesus Freak thing.

Wow, two slurs in one comment. Bravo!

No, not really. There are some hippy freaks that homeschool, but it's mostly a Bible Belt thing.

It's anti-social no matter how you slice it.

One homeschooling family (with 3 kids) in our neighborhood in Germantown.

Our street kids are pretty much divided into - MCPS home school, MCPS COSA, MCPS Magnets, Private, Catholic, Homeschoolers.

You're quite ignorant.

If you called Muslim parents the thumpers of their religious book, you would have been banned. It’s not ok to bully people based on their religion.

Tell us more about yourself! Are you a religious homeschooler or a secular one? What sort of people would you most like to meet? I would ask Jeff to move this to the homeschooling forum and I would also advise you to find a homeschooling listserve.

This!

The homeschool forum has seemed pretty dead, as frankly have the listservs I’ve checked out! Any to recommend? (We’re in NoVa and unlikely to move to MD.)

Compass Homeschool Enrichment in Oakton. Drop by, talk to the admin, plenty of parents to chat with as well.

Because obviously people who DON'T homeschool are the experts both on where to find homeschoolers and why they do it.

Loudoun county seems to have a lot of homeschoolers.

Many homeschoolers in Silver Spring and throughout Montgomery County. MHLN yahoo group is a good place to start your research.

Why are all of these in Maryland?
