Because it is marked Girls and during the day, I’m sure the teachers take the boys to the Boys bathroom. You think it is weirder to take my son to the Boys bathroom than the Girls? This is why I am asking here! It’s confusing. |
It’s seems like the vast majority are saying it’s fine to use the Boys, so I will continue to do that. And I agree that the soap should be in better reach. There are stepstools so I don’t blame the center for that, but my son just isn’t tall enough or have long enough arms to reach the soap yet. |
Soap within reach of little hands often leads to big messes. |
This is a strange set up for a daycare IMO. I understand the confusion!
Our daycare just has a bathroom per classroom, no genders assigned. |
So this is a bathroom for little ones? I see. Yes, it’s fine you went in to assist your son. But does he know how to use the bathroom by himself? If so, I maybe would try standing at the door to give him a bit more autonomy? |
Really? The teachers and daycare workers use bathrooms with no doors? So, if you come for a tour, you might see a teacher taking a dump or changing a tampon? Or you might see a male teacher taking a whizz in the urinal? What in the what? |
My kid attended a school with a set up like this. It was rented church space. The main doors from the hall to the bathroom had one of those slide locks. If an adult was using it, they waited until there were no children and locked that door. Not a huge deal. |
Why so crass? |
Yes, crass...but, not crass for a teacher to make a tee-tee in a urinal open to the hallway. |
Oh, I’m sorry...I mean a tee-tee in an on the wall potty. |
I’m assuming men could go in a stall to urinate. How many male teachers or daycare providers do you see in the 2-5 age group? Honestly I’ve seen zero in my tours of places. |
As long as it was only the little boy and not the adult man using the urinal I don't think there was anything wrong with you using the boys bathroom. But anywhere else in public definitely take him into the women's or family one. |
So we are ok with dads in the girls bathroom, too? |
In this context? Sure. This is about the only context in which I'd expect the bathroom to match the kid, and not the adult. |
Lol! Priceless. |
