Just curious...what IS deal-breaking behavior for you OP?

My deal breaking behavior:
Hiding credit card debt. Again.
Cheating
Physical or emotional abuse, to me or our child

So, he says that what he does isn’t vaping like those e-cigarettes. It’s “ dry vaping” whatever the f that is. So he thinks it’s safe. It’s just heat and herb.

No this is not safe. Seriously someone else will call CFSA on your family if they know about this. You need to give him an ultimatum on this, and stick to it. This is divorce-worthy.

Outrageous that he can’t go in another room. Outrageous that he doesn’t realize there is thc in what he exhales. What a dumbass.

You can’t divorce unless you’re sure he’ll only get supervised visitation.

This guy is seriously stupid.

Vaping is not safer than cigarettes. I can’t believe people smoke that shit. It actually looks dumber than cigarettes. Your husband sounds like a deadbeat.

The fact that he's not respecting your wishes around your child is deal breaking behavior for a lot of people. Vaping may be safer than cigarettes, but there just hasn't been enough studies of the long-term health ramifications. Not to mention is that it is not "just water vapor." There is nicotine in the solution and not all of it is ingested when you inhale.

MD here to correct this fallacy. Juul pods are 5% nicotine, which is about 40mg of nicotine per pod. A single Juul pod is equal to 20 cigarettes worth of nicotine. Vaping with marijuana has been associated with an acute lung injury syndrome that is yet to be identified; we just received a notice from the VA dept of health re: management and treatment.

None of this stuff is FDA-approved, folks. And I'm not saying the FDA is perfect. But we have kids (like OP's husband, apparently), eating this stuff up with a spoon and it's beyond toxic. Juul will be equivalent to Phillip Morris in 10 years.

OP you have an issue on your hands. I'm sorry; this is where your parental instincts need to kick in. The risk to your husband is greater than that to your newborn, which isn't low risk either. I hope it works out.

F me. F my life.

No pot around baby. Doesn't matter what it is. Tell him to man up and smoke his weed in another place not near the baby. Big whoop it's for medical purposes -- doesn't make it superior to recreational pot in terms of what's entering the baby's lungs.

Yeah, that warning is for people who use concentrates, oils, or wax. Dry herb isn’t listed there.

Don't be obtuse; it's what we know, PP. I've personally seen 3 cases where the patient reported "dry-vaping" and had similar symptoms. Regardless, it's not appropriate behavior around a newborn, nor is it a long-term solution for an adult. CBD products? Maybe. I'm not anti-weed. Vaping around the house? No way.

I’m not trying to be obtuse. My husband is specifically saying that what he is doing is different from those things and that’s why it’s a healthier way of consuming pot. So posting something about the dangers of vaping those forms of pot isn’t going to be a good argument against it for him.

So what’s your beef? You want him to stop but you’re telling us it’s not bad. Does not compute.
