I wanted to be finished by the time I was 30.And I was. I just wanted to get it done and out of the way.

Have my first at 32, and second at 35. I am done at 35. Second pregnancy is surprisingly tough on my body.

To me, baby stages is easy since both babies sleep through the night. The challenges are keeping up energy to play/chase after them.

Same. I had my first two at 30 and 32, so certainly not young, but definitely younger than a lot of moms in the DC area. I am now 34 and have no interest in having another kid. I think I would feel too old to be pregnant again.

I had my last two weeks before my 31st birthday.

I would have liked more, but I didn't want an AMA pregnancy. So I guess 35 would have been my cutoff.

35. Had #1 at 22, #2 at 25, #3 is due soon. Considering #4, but I'm 32 now.

42 ended up being the cut off. I had my first at 40 and we were trying for the second but the sleep deprivation was just so hard. DS is an amazing kid but boy was he an awful sleeper....

Before I had kids, I said I would have my first at 40, but would likely not have my 3rd or 4th at 40+. Fate took care of that for us - my DH now has a chronic medical condition that started out as an acute medical crisis. I’m done.

What specifically about an AMA pregnancy did you wish to avoid?

I had my first at 29 and my second at 36 and the pregnancies were pretty much identical.

I’m done having kids, but if I wanted another one, I’d want to have that child before 40.

I wanted to get child rearing over sooner than later. I can't imagine going through the newborn stage in my 40s.
