Homeless guy murdered construction worker on bridge in DC

I’m not as afraid of someone with a knife as I would be if they had a gun. First, it’s much more difficult to stab or cut someone enough to kill them. The overwhelming majority of people stabbed don’t die, whereas if you get shot, you’re dead unless it’s some kind of miracle. Second, I think most people instinctively know this, and the fact that he was carrying a knife rather than a gun proves his intent probably wasn’t murder. Third, I’d rather be stabbed than shot, because I would imagine it doesn’t hurt as much, and I’d be able to talk my way out of any further violence.

What you are saying makes no sense. The last 3 homeless/lunatic attacks on strangers have all used knives or hands and all successfully killed the victim. This man and the Logan circle jogger didnt stand a chance, nor did the kidnapped yoga teacher

It is very difficult to have someone committed in DC, or even to have them admitted involuntarily to a psychiatric unit. The pendulum has swung too far.
