Thank you! I ordered it last night when I couldn’t sleep.

If you can't sleep now, imagine what a state you'll be in when you can't find the heartbeat one day because:

you're not a medical professional.

Lets not assume all everyday regular people (non doctors) are morons, k?
It’s very easy to use. And if you find no heartbeat - you go to the doctor to get checked out, that’s all.

My doctor couldn't find the heartbeat at 16 weeks. I could tell she was troubled based on her demeanor. Luckily, we popped across the hall for a quick ultrasound and baby was doing just fine. I have thought about getting a Doppler, but after that experience, I agree that it's best to leave it to the professionals.

Sorry, didn’t see this- I was the one who posted where to buy the Doppler. You don’t have to be a medical professional to use a Doppler. I only couldn’t find the heartbeat once and I just told myself he could have moved and not to panic. The next day I tried and there he was (didn’t know it was a boy at that time). I understood there was a great chance I may not find it (as you can see sometimes doctors can’t either) especially depending on where baby is located.

Also, remember that the babies heartbeat is fast. A lot of times I picked up my own ( a lot slower) first. Anything before 20-22 weeks I would start near my pelvic bone and then after I would start under my belly button and go down side to side until I found him. I guess I was lucky because I found him within 5 minutes ever time accept that one time. Good luck to the poster who purchased hers but if you get worried, just call your OB.
