The St James purchased FCV, a Loudoun based soccer team which no longer has any affiliation with Loudoun soccer. FCV now plays under the name The St James FC Virginia. For now these teams continue to practice in Loudoun county.
FCV continues to be best girls DA (development academy) program in the area. Their twitter feed frequently reminds us of this fact. This tends to draw some negative feedback on this board.
They also have boys teams but not boys DA.
Lol, Loudoun based? Yeah, I guess
they have been for quite a few years now, but they've moved around. At one time they were Chantilly based. I think they may have been VISTA once too, practicing in Clifton, or maybe that was just after Cindi Harkes pulled her teams out of BRYC to become "Harks Elite", before joining up with FCV.
Does anyone else remember when they were Fairfax based? Right after the turf fields went in at Draper and Stafford, FCV actually moved all of its teams to FPYC to take advantage. The marriage didn't last though, as FCV pulled the plug when they didn't get all the time and space on those fields they wanted.
