$25

Museum is free so worth it.

Also.cheaper than metro.

Not when you factor in the ancillary costs of owning and driving a car (insurance, gas, maintenance, etc).

It’s better in the afternoon, when the tourists start heading out. On certain days, the museum is open until 7:30pm.

Street parking in DC is ALWAYS IMPOSSIBLE. Either park in a lot or take Metro.

No its not. Stop being dramatic.

I can almost always find parking on the mall because I go slowly and pay attention. However, now you have to pay, and its max 3 hour parking. Which is annoying if you want to stay in the museum longer. So we usually metro if we're going for more than a short look at something.

Honestly, though, parking in a Metro garage will always be less expensive than a downtown garage. If you arrive before 10:30 a.m or leave in the afternoon, it will transit will likely be the fastest way in/out of the city too.

This isn't true. It costs $5 to park at the metro, right? And depending on where you are coming from, you could pay up to $5 each way for a ticket. So if you have 4 people, you're paying $45 dollars. You can park for less than $20.

Of course, this math all depends on how many people and how far you are traveling.

We just came back from there today. I parked right on Constitution. Worse part is trying to see around all the food trucks when you are looking for a spot.
