Marie Reed Racism Troll

This is very sad. Such a preoccupation with Black America but no understanding of the issues, concerns, context or conflicts. Instead, posters such as yourself are dismissive and lack empathy.

Not sure who you are addressing, but the issue that Jeff is highlighting is sock puppeting - the practice of posting repeatedly on anonymous forums as if you were multiple people. It's fundamentally dishonest and a form of trolling, probably done by a teenager trying to make people who are legitimately concerned about issues of race look stupid. There are a LOT of people from nowhere near DC who seem to come to this thread obsessively to troll -- either by posting racist comments or by pretending to be AA and post ridiculous things.

Because Jeff can see the IP addresses of posters, he can tell who is sock puppeting and he shuts them down when he can. I encourage folks to use the report function to discourage this kind of trolling.

For someone posting from Texas, you seem to have a lot of interest in DC schools and neighborhoods. You might want to take a minute to consider whether the posters in this forum might be better informed about our schools and neighborhoods and, therefore, be more prepared to identified trolls than those living elsewhere.

For those keeping score, Troll X has now had a child subject to racism in two different schools and two different neighborhoods (four incidents in total). That may seem normal down in Texas, but is pretty odd in Mt. Pleasant and Adams Morgan.

My black brothers and sisters stand united in combating the hate and racism in this city. You never win by playing dirty...

Now I'm convinced you are not black. I'll call you Troll X from now on.

Correct. How to spot a race-baiting troll/bot 101: only non-Black people use a lower-case b when referring to Black anything.

Lol, what? That’s not a thing!

Yes it is. We also never make Black plural.

I pointed that out in one of the threads had had several people jump on me but now I think it was the same person. Not that racism doesn't happen here, but a whole community and school "refusing" to let their kids play with hers? Doubtful.

Just as I suspected, Jeff is it. And what does being in Texas now have anything to do with my feelings and observations on this forum. Doesn't undermine my experience on this forum or my experience living in DC for many years. On another note, as the administrator I would expect a more neutral response, one that embraces all perspectives and opinions.

Why should he respond neutrally? Why does he have to embrace your behavior?

Also, I resent being called "Troll X." I would venture that there are many others who are truly Trolls offering opinions in this post. I am truly just offering my opinion and experience on what's being posted and the site. I've been reading for years, mist of which was when I lived in DC. Also, my kids never attended a DC public school.

Living in Texas, you probably know nothing about Marie Reed or Columbia Heights Education Campus. But, even if you did, why would you defend an obvious troll? Do you really want to me embrace the perspective of someone who is very likely not black -- actually engaging in virtual blackface -- trying to stir up racial animosity? If that is a perspective that interests you, you are on the wrong website. Maybe you are interested in the troll's modern day minstrel show, but I"m not.

Not suggesting anyone has to embrace my opinion. Just that, my opinion. Why such offense taken?
