OP here. I thanked him for meeting up, and told him I wasn’t interested and wish him the best in finding a good match. Then blocked - I have no need or interest in maintaining an open channel of communication.

Thanks for the feedback re: being direct. Will do this in the future should the situation call for it. I would hate to be ghosted so refuse to do that to others.

Tel him you NOW are in a committed relationship with someone else. But you will not discuss.

This is bad advice because it leaves a door open for the other person to think that if you weren't in a relationship you'd be interested. Better just to say not interested.

I thought he would take my disinterest as disinterest. Now I know better. Thanks!
