Isn't orientation just like a day or two where students get their ID cards, do some social activities, etc? How can it be a disaster? |
I doubt that this is an unusual experience. We're taking DS tomorrow and I'm not expecting him to make any real connections over a 9 hour period and I don't think he has any particular expectations of doing so. He's attending a larger school and will be in a living learning community so the people he meets tomorrow might not be the people he ends up spending most of his time with. Did she have other issues other than not connecting with the random people who happened to be at this orientation section? |
Sounds like my sister. She went to two orientations because she couldn't decide. Ended up going to one of the schools, then transferred to a third school after freshman year. |
