| Ugh, my admin won't tell us what time on Monday they're hanging up the sheet on which we can sign up for checkout time slots. I can't stand when they don't treat us like professional adults who have put in way more than our contract hours. If the sign up sheet goes up at 7:30 then I'll be there then but if it's not going up til 9:30 then there's no reason for me to be there at 7:30. Stop playing games. |
I would do it early on Monday because some people won’t read email after they are cleared and the emails vanish after 30 days. |
| school in construction ... I have been moving at work until 9:30 pm for the past week. |

I don't know what the checkout process is at my DC's middle school but clearly some teachers are already checked out.
I got a revised IEP at 4:30pm today that was supposed to include additional information - but it doesn't and has other issues. I sent a reply an hour later and got an auto-reply saying she was away until August 26th and to contact the main office in the meantime. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your teacher thread but I really needed to vent somewhere. Thanks. |
Really, there was nowhere else on DCUM to vent? Call the office on Monday and ask to speak directly to the RTSE, she’ll handle your problem. However, I can tell you that my vacation responder went on at 12:31 today with the same message. I absolutely am still answering emails that truly need my attention. I just want to weed out the parents who are asking today and Monday about extra credit to get that 80.1 to an 89.5. |
| The check out procedures have changed various times since May. The actual checkout list has been posted since June 1. Staff are allowed to leave as long as the checklist has all the required signatures on Monday. Personally, I’ve been packed up since Thursday. So I’ve been ready to start summer vacation before my trainings starts in the next week and a half. |
That’s so frustrating. I hate admin on power trips. |
Mine uses a Doodle poll, thank goodness. It's not 1992! |

You poor things! I'm guessing that most of you are working in middle or elementary schools.
Some high schools work differently. The inequity is sickening. |
The process at my middle is much more practical than the HS. At the HS, I had remove ALL personal items and subject specific items like textbooks from the classroom every year because room assignments changed over the summer. |
