Weingarten/Manteuffel

I'm oddly disappointed in Weingarten now.

+1.

I am disappointed by him too. He always wrote about Rachel as a mentor/mentee type of relationship, so cliche and downright disappointing of him.

I remember he used to bring up a "rule" that he made up about dating age gaps. That a man could only date someone no less than 7 years older than his oldest child/oldest daughter. Something like that? Whatever it was, I doubt 35/67 makes the cut!

I think his rule was half your age plus 7. Nope, she doesn't pass.

I am not oddly disappointed. I am disappointed. He's now a gross cliche.

Me, too.

Also frankly suspicious that the relationship started before the marriage ended. Men that age don't leave without someone waiting in the wings. Unless the Rib initiated the divorce.

Has anyone seen a picture of the Rib? Weingarten was always talking about how attractive she was.

I normally am okay with May-December romances, but I agree that something about this skeeves me out a bit, too. Gene always goes on about finding women attractive at all ages, but I didn’t think that would include shacking up with a woman younger than his daughter.

And Manteuffel? What is she thinking? Double knee replacement and cataract surgery? No thanks.

He's smart. And funny. Smart and funny are sexy.

Me three.

I'm the PP who posted about seeing them on the street - and I was physically revolted. I'm a neighbor, and the little I observed, I think that the Rib was the one who was fed up.

Oh, I get that. But at some point old men aren’t f**kable for 30-somethings, no matter how smart and funny, you know?

Not when we’re talking about an elderly disheveled blob who’s dipping into another generation’s dating pool.

When you posted about seeing him walking with his hand in her back pocket I may have thrown up in my mouth a little bit.

He is very smart, and sometimes funny. In no way is he sexy though.

Cliche? No. Creep, yes. He has raved about her since she was in her early 20s. Disgusting.

This has nothing at all to do with me and yet bothers me. Ew.
