What $ gift card for end of year gift card?

Where do you give a gift card to? Is it rude to just give cash?

Most families do Visa gift cards, Target & Starbucks. Though now that the year is ending I’m not sure how much they need Starbucks.

I’ve never heard of anyone giving cash. If you’re unable to get a gift card I’d recommend giving it in a card with a thoughtful note written from your child. Then add a sticky note apologizing for giving cash but you were unable to get a gift card in time. I think cash is unusual but it really is the same as a gift card.

I would opt for a Visa card. Starbucks? Meh. Not for me, but I know some like it.
