It’s impossible under Virginia law to get released from prison after serving less than a third of a 24-year sentence unless your conviction is overturned. This story doesn’t make sense. |
Well if he was convicted in 2011 and out 8 yrs later that makes it 2019, no?
This is so stupid of him to try set foot in school. Stupid of the mom who brought him to bring him into her family’s life too. Well now at least she knows... can’t play the “I had no idea” card! |
at our school on these days they just give everyone a sticker and bypass that system :/ |
It shows that the system works. Her husband is fagged when they come to the school because there is soneone in the system with the same name that is not allowed in the school. The systems kicks out that there is a problem. the necessary adults are alerted. The husband is checked out and cleared. So the same system that triggers on her husbands name, triggered on this assholes name and he was arrested. Good thing that there seems to be a deent system in place. |
tbh this happens at shrevewood frequently on days with high-traffic parent attendance. For example when there's a grade-wide event (like the one mentioned) or a big performance where the line is out the door to the office to scan into the computer and the event time is close to starting. Like next week there will be class parties and all that. So will be interesting to see how it's handled. |
He is a boyfriend of a shrevewood parent. he wasn't exactly turned away at the door. |
I have a child at Shrevewood - it's not possible for them to give out stickers without scanning IDs. I've never had this happen (and I have stood in lines out the door waiting). I'm sure they'll be extra vigilant next week. |
No, I don't know whose friend he was, just saying that if there are a lot of parents in the school, people aren't going to know who everyone is and could think he was someone's dad easily. But either way, the system worked, and I'm happy for that. |
Even if he served a full eight years, it’s impossible in Virginia to be released that early. |
No, the system does not work. This person still lives in the community. What happens when these elementary school children (particularly that child he was there for) get out of school? There is no name checking once those kids leave school grounds. |
The schools sytem protected the school, which is its purpose. The asshole is back in prison and will probably stay there for a while. I am sure the violated his parloe/probation by attending the event. Who knows about the rest. |
That’s on the mom. |
Loco |
No actually it's on the moms and dads of everyone in the community seeing as how he trafficked children. And yes he is in jail now but for every one of him there are several more who haven't been caught yet. I guess we will be paying his attorney fees shortly from Fairfax county taxpayer funds so that he can avoid deportation. |
The type of sentence described is not one that a Virginia court would give. It is a federal sentence. In federal court if the defendant cooperated and provided information to law enforcement as a part of a plea agreement, the USAO would ask for a sentence reduction for him. |
