DC United U13 program cancelled

Most clubs I've dealt with factor 1 to 2 kids will miss a game for birthdays, vacations, illness, school events, conflicts, etc per week. But once you start to deal with kids in puberty the potential for long-term injuries is quite a bit more significant such that the weekly injury/indisposed list is quite a bit higher.

On our U-14 team this season we've had 5 kids experience month(s) long injuries such that to have a healthy roster of 18 on game day (including the conflict/illness kids) we need about 21-22 kids.

I'm glad to hear they got enough advance notice that they weren't caught by surprise.

Not everyone got advance notice. I know one or two families that were surprised and "stuck".

The email went out 2 weeks ago. It was a surprise.

The Achilles kids left for different reasons (mostly b/c they wanted to keep guest playing all the time).
