The Society on Netflix

Before we started watching it, I read where the first three episodes were so bad that people stopped watching it. We made it through. They weren't terrible enough for us to stop. Or, maybe they were so incredibly bad that we couldn't turn away.

Either way, we are watching it through the end!

ok - love the Grizz/Sam story!

Loved it! Def the pied piper story.

I watched it- much better than expected. I got a little bored toward the middle, but I think the problems they are grappling with were portrayed realistically.

My tween wants to watch this, but the reviews on common sense media make me hesitant. Would anyone who has watch this allow their 12 year old to watch it?

Those gratuitous sex scenes are ridiculous. You could FF through them as you watch with your kid. The rest of the show isn't bad. There's an execution scene which is hard to watch, but the aftermath shows how it affects the characters.

I have one more episode, and it's grown on me. I love it. I agree that some of the acting is really bad. I can't stand Allie, and the sex scenes are terrible. I FF through them b/c they are supposed to be kids after all. yuck

But the story has gotten much better imo.

Maybe something's wrong with me! But I want a season 2.

The concept is cool but it's just a teen drama.

I'm still plugging away through this series - almost done. The sex scenes are unbelievably inappropriate. I watch this by myself, not with my daughter (who has already watched it). OMG. These are KIDS behaving like adults. And the abusive relationship between Campbell and the blonde girl (can't remember her name) is sick.

I found the reactions after Cassandra was killed to be so unrealistic. Both Allie and Gordy were waaaay too calm about it. It wasn't at all like her beloved sister had been shot.

Elle is in the relationship with Campbell, the sociopath (or psychopath, whatever). A switch flips in Elle's head later.

I'll admit that I love the Grizz and Sam relationship, although I am curious as to how they'll address how they got there. So if there's a season 2, I will have to watch it.

But yes, the sex scenes are very inappropriate.

PP here. I love the Grizz and Sam relationship too, but I hate it when shows try to make something complicated out of something that should be fairly simple. Obviously, Sam should explain to Grizz that he's not the biological father, but that he plans on raising the baby as if he is. And then he should explain to Becca that he and Grizz have "found" each other and are going to be a couple. Everyone else knows he's gay, it's not some big secret.
