| This is nothing against PAC but I don't see how Sully walking around matters. Maybe I'm totally wrong but I don't care at all about a club's TD. I care about his day to day coach(es), the team culture, quality of his teammates, and the competition level of their games. That's what develops players not a TD knowing his name. I'm not saying that PAC doesn't offer the other things. I'm just saying that the TD knowing the names of the kids means nothing. I'd rather NOT see the TD because he's busy taking care of curriculum and making sure my son's team is getting the resources it needs. Just my two cents. |
| Sully actually will take time and work with all of the kids himself. I know from other families at Villarreal and Braddock Road. Theres no interaction with the TD and your just a lost one of many team members. I bet if you were to take a survey of families overall happiness levels with their club. PAC would be right up there at the top. When your kids eventually age out of travel. Almost ALL of the kids will be in the same boat ie. not playing college or pro soccer. The overall better long term experience usually come from the smaller clubs. I know a U16 family at BRYC who are on the elite team not the ECNL team and get treating like crap. The TD has no interested in helping any of that team with the college process. |
| Small club great choice if your not an over the top physco parent who needs to feel like every college coach is looking at your kid. |
| PAC has a little more turnover than other clubs at the younger ages at least. If a kid is good enough on PAC, they tend to move to McLean or other clubs after a year or two. |
Disagree. Depends on the age group/team. No turnover whatsoever on the teams my kids are on. |
| How are the tryouts going? |
From my angle as a sideline parent, they seem to be going well. Nice numbers of kids coming out from what I can tell. Not sure what exactly you are asking though. |
| Re: team standings. There are great and not so great teams. They don’t field ccl teams but my son’s team is currently ranked between Arlington red and white for his year group. Not too shabby for a small club. |
| How is premier for boys 2007? |
| They’re a solid team with a great group of kids and parents. |
| I looked on their website for coaching assignments but didn't see any. When do they release that? |
| If you have an offer, ask the team manager who the coach will be. They likely already know. I don't think it will ever be listed anywhere. What team are you wondering about? |
Their website is really not a great source unfortunately. Ask one of the parents or someone- I am certain my kid is having the same coach as last year. (Downside of small club- no/zero admin infrastructure). |
How about 2007, 2006, both boys and girls next season possibly coming from VIVA |
| The 07 boys and girls top teams (navy boys, gold girls) is continuing to have Suli Williams as the coach. 07 Boys white has Len as coach and he is remaining. |
