Help! Moving to Northern Virginia (Vienna Metro area) and 20 weeks pg...

I know the OP was several months ago and has certainly found an OB by now, but I just wanted to add a recommendation for Elliott and Lashgari in case anyone else finds this when googling.

I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and while I can't yet speak to going through L&D with them, I did want to say that I went through a missed miscarriage under their care a year go. It was my first pregnancy and we discovered no heartbeat on an u/s at 11 weeks after having heard and seen it at 9.5 weeks. Dr Lashgari was the one who discovered the miscarriage and broke the news, and despite her "no-nonsense demeanor", she was extremely compassionate, patient, and gentle.

I got a D&C and Lashgari performed the procedure. She came to see me before surgery and again was extremely comforting, reassuring, and sympathetic to both me and my husband. My post-op appointment was with Dr Elliott and he was the same. I had more questions and concerns after my miscarriage than I did during either of my pregnancies, and both were just as responsive and patient with me during that time as they have been when I've been there as a pregnant patient.

So, that's my two cents. Good luck to all of the women out there who are searching for a health care provider! It is really important to find one you feel comfortable with and trust.
