I don't think so at all. Regular facials are part of good skincare. While it doesn't have to be- I do think there is benefit to having a facial regularly and your 14 year old will get some education in how to best care for her skin at home from a professional. And it is relaxing and feels great.

No they're not. while they may feel good, they do nothing to improve your skin.

agreed.

Ime a facial costs as much as a massage and I’d much rather have a massage!

OP here: I am trying to get her to care a little more about her face and cleaning it well so figured a facial might spur her on and the write up on it says, they talk to the teen about appropriate skin care, etc.

I'd love a massage for myself but she is too young to have a stranger rubbing all over her.

Maybe not directly, but getting facials is why I stopped using body soap on my face, why I upped my daily SPF, and why I stopped using harsh acne treatments as a teen. I didn’t have anyone to teach me how to take care of my skin.

That's a terrible gift then, since it's backed by judgement about her hygiene--she'll know it. Just do the facial as a thing to do together and not as a gift.
