What is the cusp for Latin? We are mid 20s and I assume we will not get in.

The list has already gone down by nine, right? That seems like more than last year. Perhaps some of the other up and coming middle schools are having an impact? What is the international one? DCI?

This is PP and I'm guessing based on last year...we were 23 initially and are now 17 (last I checked anyway) for 5th grade. Does DCI start in 5th or 6th? I was thinking 6th but if not then that could be a factor.

DCI starts at 6th

Keeping my fingers crossed that 99 folks pass up on Latin ...ha

Point being if you want DCI you will stay where you are for 5th and not go Latin or basis

My Basis number just fell 7 spots. This seems very small, given that I personally know almost that many who turned down Basis. Presumably this is just the first wave.

P.s.: Since posting it fell even more — 22 spots total since this morning.

P.p.s.: They must be updating the list in real time. Every time I hit refresh my waitlist number drops — so far, by 33 spots. We now have a chance!

You know, you will get an email if they make you an offer. You don't really need to watch in real time

Wow - this bodes well for those of us on the waitlist at Basis . . . last year's data shows only 33 offers made by June 1 (and 87 by August). My number has gone done by 43!

The list always moves a lot. If you are 100 or lower you almost certainly get in. And you have a good chance of getting in even if your initial WL number is higher than that.

Yes, my number moved by 43, as well.

So for those folks who have just gotten an offer from Basis, how long is the school giving you to respond? Wondering when the next wave of movement will occur . . . .

woooo movement!

I agree that 9 spots seems like a lot for the Latin list to move this early. That's good news for people in the 20s I think!

On another thread, someone mentioned May 15th was their deadline
