I hate when people say this. My boys are 18 months apart. They are now almost 4 and 2.5. We are trying for a 3rd, so he/she will be at least 3 years apart from our youngest. I’m worried about it. Overthinking? Maybe. But it’s ok to have on your mind.

nobody says you should be arrested to thinking about it, but it's a really stupid thing to worry about.

My first two are 19 months apart. After that insanity I needed a break. Now kid #2 and #3 (newly pregnant) will be a little over 3 years apart. It has allowed me to enjoy number 2's babyhood. Kids will be 4 (almost 5) and 3 when new baby is born.

I worked full time initially with my first then when my second came i was chasing after a very active toddler always. I had my youngest the same yr my middle child went to kindergarten. I have been able to savor all the tiny moments with her since it is just the two of us at home during the day. It has been such a joy and I love it. But there are challenges with meeting the needs and wants of older kids and a baby at the same time, especially if you have a spouse that isn't available to help

I have exactly the same aged kids and agree with all you said. It’s physicslky much easier and I’m savoring the time more. I also love seeing the big kids be big siblings to the baby. But it is hard to square Wednesday night baseball games and evening dance classes with getting the toddler a regular dinner and bedtime. It’s hard to go back to getting home mid-day for naps on weekends, and travel is hard again too.

My first two were exactly 2 years apart. Had third when older kids were 5 and 7. I LOVE our age gap. Kids were in kindergarten and 2nd grade, independent and adore their baby sister. I get to focus on little one when big kids are at school. Focus on big kids in afternoons.

I have an older brother 18 months older than I am, and a younger brother 5 years after me. I adore my younger brother. Not a huge fan of my older brother. Being so close in age made us have more sibling rivalry. That just hasn’t been a thing with my younger brother.
