This is what happens when vultures picks the carcass clean. They go after each other’s piece of the pie.

I wouldn't be so sure. The NRA that emerges from this power struggle will be leaner, meaner, and all about doing more to recruit new/lost members.

For lots of members of the gun culture, the NRA is seen as a milquetoast organization devoted to serving the interests of Elmer Fudd-types, rather than an advocacy group for modern gun owners, most of which don't hunt, and own guns specifically for defense. The running joke among them is that NRA stands for "Negotiate Rights Away", since that's essentially what the NRAs unending capitulation to gun control groups has aaccomplished. As a result, other groups like GOA, SAF, and JPFO have sprung up, and pulled away hundreds of thousands of members by taking a harder line against compromise with gun banners than does the NRA.

When this infighting is over, whoever is left on top will be working very hard to get those members who have walked away, back.

What gun rights have been negotiated away?

Thats a gun fetishist your replying to. That’s a person who helps get kids killed.

The NRA is a terrorist organizing that gets American kids killed. It’s hard for me to imagine what organization could be worse.

PP mentioned a few that are worse. More terrorist organizations.

501(c)3 tax exemption is not even supposed to be allowed for organizations engaging in overtly political activities. I think Congress needs to exercise its oversight authority and step in and make clear that overtly political organizations like the NRA cannot hold tax-exempt status.

There is no Congress. Welcome to a fascist state.

Super patriot Wayne LaPierre is a draft dodger. Just like Limbaugh and Cheney.

Huh? NRA's ads don't depict hunters.

I was hoping a giant meteor would end this battle, but here’s NRA official Richard Childress reading a letter from Oliver North where he says he has been forced out of the NRA and then says the NRA has engaged in financial improprieties.

Good. The whole thing should go away and there should be a bonafide gun safety non-profit that emerges.
