There will be coaches everywhere. Different levels of colleges looking for different levels of players.

Sure, I meant D1. Every coach knows their targets. D2 and D3 will head to lower brackets and scout where they have a better recruitment chance.

College coaches don't go to window shop. D2 and D3 coaches will be targeting games where players have reached out to them.

They "window shop" from the better clubs. I know plenty of "window shop" recruited players. Actually, I know some "window shop" D2 and D3 players too. Happens all the time.

Sure, if they see someone they like they of course will follow up but they are not there to primarily window shop. Their priorities are with regards to kids who have reached out them or to see kids that trusted club coaches may have recommended.

For sure on the "trusted club coaches" comment. A well connected coach can make a huge difference in the recruitment process.

Players in the championship bracket will end up d3 too. Players from lower divisions will end up d1. This must be your first rodeo.

Of course! I think Duke was scouting some rec games too.

Games outside the championship division are rec games? Cool.

Since what you said was out of context and ridiculous, I simply played along.

No team, no division in a tournament, no specific league ever guarantees a player anything. Everybody knows that. But the right team, league and tournament division does make it easier. Apparently, not everybody knows that.

But your DD playing for “super team” obviously gives you the credentials to mansplain college recruiting? My point is schools recruit players. Not teams.

Good luck this weekend. Hopefully you’re playing in the championship bracket.

It would be outstanding if this dad and mom realize over the weekend that their girls are on the same team . . .

DD had a game this morning outside of the championship bracket. College coaches were there. Oh my lord!

There are only 2 Championship Bracket games before 11:00am today. Most are in the afternoon and evening. Good planning on the part of Jeff Cup to schedule the brackets in such a way that the coaches did not have to make a choice between championship brackets and lower brackets.

To eliminate any doubt that Gotsoccer rankings are meaningless, especially U16 and above, here are today’s results from the top division of U16 (2003) Jeff Cup.

Match Fit (Gotsoccer #739) wins 2-1 over Keystone Premiere (Gotsoccer #1)
South Shore (#60) wins 7-0 over Sunrise Sting (#18)
Maryland United (#127) wins 2-0 over CSA (#95)
BRYC (#72) wins 5-0 over Delaware (#3)
CESA (#110) wins 4-2 over FC Copa (#8)
NC Fusion (no rank) wins 1-0 over PDA 03 Freedom (#26)

With the exception of SSS, all winners were ECNL teams.

Washington Spirit would beat all of them anyways.

And SSS is joining the DA. So ECNL and DA teams comprise the country's top talent.
