No one is going to give you a grade, OP. If you like the dress, get it and go have fun.
I had Peaches 'n' Cream Barbie, so I definitey get it! If you have fun with your hair and your accessories and your makeup, you'll just look fun and game for a good time. That's all that matters. |
| That is so funny and as another ‘80’s gal I say yes, but I would not spend $150 on a one time use dress! |
|
Peaches and Cream Barbie had the big ruffle up and over the shoulders. This is a party dress, not the ultimate 80's fashion statement that was Peaches and Cream Barbie.
I can see how it reminded you of her, though! I bet the designer had one, too! |
| It looks 50s, not 80s. |
| Oh man Peaches n Cream Barbie was the epitome of class and glamour when I was 5 or whatever. Serious flashbacks. |
| 80s prom dresses = Jessica McClintock |
Exactly what I was about to post. |
This. What Cyndi Lauper said. |
|
That’s 50s. Also a class of ‘88 graduate
|
| not 80s. On another note, is this a legit store? Not like the Berrylook or other online stores that are questionable? I just checked the clothes and they have a lot of cute ones. |
+1 to 50s vibe. For 80s you need a dress with a black velvet skirt, electric pink/blue on top and poufy sleeves. |
Or Laura Ashley. We used to wear Laura Ashley semi-formal dresses to non-uniform school days. |

Do you people really care about this kind of thing this deeply? If you go out--to a Legwarmers show, for God's sake--do you really pay attention and scrutinize and judge with this level of fine detail?
It's a fun dress. Wear some fun earrings and colorful makeup and go have a good time. WHO CARES? This is not a Smithsonian exhibit; there is no grade, there will be no reviews in The New York Times. It's a concert, people. And it's a fun dress. |
That is true, I had the same in on the other end of the country, with white wayfarers--authentic '86, but not the stereotype of eighties. Hard to pull-off for a theme party, unless the audience lived it. |
