I lost 5lbs on kind of paleo and I am weak

Incidentally, if you have low glycogen stores you tend to feel really lethargic, and many women are even more prone to this than men since women's hormones are more dramatically affected by carbohydrate restriction than men. Eat healthy food of reasonable portions. If you eat low carb for a few days and suddenly drop 5 lbs, realize that is absolutely meaningless and you are being a scale slave. I think when monitoring your weight it's better to take a rolling average over weeks while taking data daily. Then you realize that 3-5 lb fluctuations are totally normal depending on how much you sweat, how dehydrated you are, and how much carbs/salt you eat that particular day.

Thanks so much for this explanation. Really helpful. -np

Make sure you are staying hydrated. When you cut out the processed foods, your body doesn't hang on to water the way it used to. Drink a cup of bone broth every day with breakfast - it has salt and protein w/other nutrients that will help to replenish your body.

Some guy just had a car accident and blamed it on Whole30. EST some food!

Paleo did not work for me - I felt tired until I reintroduced non-gluten grains. I just need more carbs than it contemplates, and sweet potatoes and fruits don’t do it. My mom is the same way - needs her grains to feel energetic.

Please don’t use random labels for your crazy diets.

And grapes aren’t good for anything except hydration. Eat some food for God’s sake.

- someone who eats real paleo

But just hasn't gotten pancreatitis yet.

I am OP and this is real. That is why I am doing this only for a short time and might observe animal products free Lent this year. My uncle died of non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Total fall apart of the system, he ate meat and meat, and meat.(pork and beef) And he had diabetes too. Ended up skinny as a rail. He never drank alcohol but drank coca cola non stop too. I am aware of the dangers of eating too much meat, and maybe that is why I was so weak on this diet, not enough meat.

I am totally at a loss with your advice not to use random labels for crazy diets. That is exactly what paleo is, a crazy random diet label. That is why I said kind of, because thinking that we should eat like 30K years ago is as random as going back 100K years ago, when we were mostly herbivores and somewhat omnivores? Grapes are awesome, read up.
