Different single parent question

There were a few times when our kids were younger where both my wife and I had travel at the same time. When that happened, we hired an overnight sitter that was around $150-175/night.

Zero issues with any of them that we used. Once we hired one, we had a 'meet the kids' afternoon where I paid her her hourly rate.

I have a wonderful overnight sitter for $150/night - they’re in school al day.

PP here, but yes. I forgot to mention the cost but this is about what I pay as well.

I also paid $150/night usually a responsible neighbor or babysitter-- I tried to do it at our house but sometimes it was at the sitter's or neighbor's house (which was generally a little less $$). When they became tweens, we transitioned to college kids for overnight- which my kids LOVED.

I tried to keep my travel as short as possible (e.g., early morning flight rather than going in the night before) and took my kids whenever I could make that work.
