LOLLL. My brother is a Gonzaga alumni and this is spot-on for him and most of his friends. |
It had potential, but I was also bothered by the mismatched number of syllables. Perhaps the lines should have been broken up differently. Also agree that the vocab could have been better. But a decent first attempt.
|
He could not be an alumni. He would know why.

Here's an article about what happened. Far less vague. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/acts-of-extreme-vandalism-by-students-stun-gonzaga-college-high-school/2019/02/15/ba02b7ee-306d-11e9-8ad3-9a5b113ecd3c_story.html?utm_term=.12ee05322ee7 |

You let kids destroy property at sports events and it goes unchecked ... parents make excuses for the boys ... the school pays damages with not suspensions... this is the culture of the school.
Not surprised. |
+1. Pure paranoia and, well, racism. |
PP here. Sorry, autocorrect. I’m going to see if he’ll spill about what happened though. |
I love this post. |
| I wonder what the consequences are. I assume expulsions and criminal prosecutions. |
| You would be wrong. Not even suspensions. Sounds like teachers and some students are furious. |
Please tell me you're kidding. |
| There will be suspensions and expulsions. Guaranteed. |
|
Wow. What is wrong with the junior class? Where were the chaperones?
|
| No expulsions. Suspensions and monetary damages. Apparently some large donations are forthcoming. Staff are not happy. |
If this is true, it is very disappointing. And I say that as the mom of recent Gonzaga graduates. The actions I've read about in no way represent the value system that our boys learned at home and that we expected to be reinforced at school. This is very upsetting. |
