My bad, I've only ever parked on the outdoor lot. Didn't know it was there.

Mosaic: You can only stay inside from garage to Target. Everything else there, you can park in garages but will leave the garage to walk outside to restaurants (short walks, though). You can get to, I think, Panera and maybe Chipotle? from a garage but...there are Paneras and Chipotles everywhere. The stores other than Target are not good ones for bringing three young kids--all small, boutique stores or places like Anthroplogie that are just not for kids. Just FYI.

It is 20 degrees colder than the average temperature in DC. I grew up in Chicago and I hate cold, which is a main reason I don't live there anymore. There's nothing wrong with someone with 3 little kids (or anyone) wanting to find options that don't involve walking outside.

OP-- I agree with the idea of a mall or Ikea. I know some malls now have little jump houses inside the mall. The Wheaton Mall has one, and they have little animal things you can ride around on. I took my kids there to just play around for a while on a cold day last year.

Plus with 3 kids it's nice to be able to park in a garage near the entrance, then leave the big coats, gloves, etc. in the car.

Are your kids big enough to bowl? The Westfield Mall in Bethesda has a Lucky Strike in addition to a movie theater, a little play area and Z Bounce. That's where I'd be headed today.
