Why does Don Beyer keep getting reelected? He's done NOTHING in Congress!!!

He is a decent enough guy but is as establishment as they come. Given this is a safe seat, its holder should be a progressive leader. We can do better.

This district is one of the most diverse in Virginia. We need someone who truly represents that diversity (i.e., not some rich, white guy)

Well, you don't think rich white guys belong in Congress? How about rich, white women?

Babycakes, when Arlington actually starts to desegregate their schools, THEN they can have a progressive champion. Until then, Breyer represents the county effectively enough.

Disagree. In fact, disagree 100%. Beyer has a spectacular voting record, an excellent record on introductions and sponsorships, and is exceptionally helpful on constituent inquiries.

DP. Arlington will never desegregate its schools.

There are a helluva lot of pro establishment Dems in the 8th, and some of the folks I know who liked one of the more prog candidates did it because they liked that particular candidate and would have voted Beyer as a 2nd choice (also its amusing that you consider Euille a progresive candidate, since in Alex he was often denounced for being close to developers - a charge I found unfair, but then I am pretty 'establishment' myself)

DCUM is an elitist crew. You wouldn't like Beyer so much if he sold Chevrolets.

In fairness to Don, it is very time-consuming running a successful and huge, multi-line car dealership.

When do you expect him to do all this extra stuff you demand of him as a congress-person??
