Worth it to fix iPhone 6?

We buy refurbished iPhones. You can get a 6s for under $200. We’ve never had a problem with them. I like the size of the 6.

If your 6 was working well, you keep it until it dies. But it sounds like this one has too many problems, so,get a new phone.

I love my new phone more.

Apple store offers $50 for most 6 phones. Do you consider that a big credit towards a $1000 phone?

I think the XR is the cheapest new one - like 700 or 800. But point still stands, hubby didn’t get more than $50 for an old 6.

In November they gave him $120. I thought it was good for an older phone.

Don't repair. Get a refurbished iPhone 7 from Apple.

. NP here, I just got the XR last month, bought it directly from Tmobile. It does not cost $1000.

That’s not helpful.

What did it cost?

OP, assuming you haven't replaced your phone yet...

Back up your phone then do a factory reset. Restore everything and see if that fixes your problem.

If that doesn't do it, then it's time for a new phone. Do another factory reset, take out the SIM card, take it in for a trade-in at Apple and buy a new one.

I took my 6 to the apple store for a repair and they said they could try but it not work, so they gave me the option of buying a new 6 for (I think) $300 and I took that.

TBH I kind of wish I had gotten a newer phone because of more speed/memory but I don't like to spend money on phones. Apple is advertising trade-ins on the 6 to the Xr so you could look at that.

Don't they have a couple weeks for you to change your mind? Take it back and see if they can let you apply your 300 dollars to a newer model.
