| Can you imagine how much secret service was sh*tting itself when he insisted on driving the Obamas and the queen around? |
I would love to have a chauffeur! I'd just sit back and tell them where to drive me to. Presidents always have their days booked. They get driven from one destination to another and really don't have that much say as to where they are going. But if they could just say - "Drive me to Target" or Ocean City or bar hopping, whatever, I'll bet they would love to have a chauffeur. |
Um, I don't think Prince Philip needs to signal that he is a Man of the People so he can get elected, that's not what him driving his own car is about. |
| Maybe the accident wasn't his fault. There's always the possibility the driver of the other car caused it. |
Possibly. But looking at his damaged/overturned vehicle and that he was exiting a driveway, it seems like he t-boned the other car, so probably his fault. |
| He drives a Camry? |
Wow. What kind of a street does the driveway front to? It took some speed to make that accident happen. |
I know, right???
|
He was in the Land Rover. Other driver was in a Kia. |
Maybe the other car pulled out in front of him. Given how they are situated that is a distinct possibility. The 97 year old man could be in the right. |
| He needs a self driving car |

The queen also drives herself when she is outside London, or did until recently. Most of the royals prefer to drive themselves I agree that Philip is past the age when this is advisable and I suspect his family and physicians have been trying to get the keys for awhile now. This should do it.

No - he drove off a private road straight into the traffic without stopping. The other cars drivers are alive with scrapes, a broken arm and a traumatized 10-month-Old. Witness Roy Warne, 75, said of the smash near Sandringham, Norfolk: “It was frightening to see." Mr Warne also told how Prince Philip said he was “dazzled by the sun” at a T-junction before his Land Rover hit another car carrying a mother and baby. He said The Duke of Edinburgh was pulled from the wreckage “conscious” but “very, very shocked and shaken”. Prince Philip was breathalysed by police following the horrific smash. Barrister Roy, 75, who was first at the scene, helped to free the “disorientated” royal from his motor, which had overturned. He heard the Duke later admit to cops he had been “dazzled by the sun”. |
What does that mean? |
So... wonder how this plays out, lawsuit-wise.... |
