I like it. We considered it for the same reasons, but a friend is using it for their child.
if YOU BOTH like it, then stick with it. Who cares if it is trendy, if you can agree, stick with it! |
| We know only one Finn and he is 3. I think it is cute! Congrats on agreeing on a name. I know how hard that can be! |
| I like it! And if you both like it, then it's a winner! |
I didn't think anyone was really nasty. You're being oversensitive, PP. |

Definitely a winner if you both agree. Don't bother trying to guess/second guess trends. After struggling to come with boys names that DH and I like, I would be overjoyed if we found our own version of Finn.
Congrats! |
| Thought I'd add that I know a liltle boy named Fenton and they call him Fen. Seems to be an unusual name. |
| Definitely go for it if you both agree. But as you can see from what happened here, you might want to keep it to yourself from friends and family. |

I happen to like it a lot, but I would definitely put it in the category of trendy/novelty names. Also, names that can be interchanged with dog's names. For me that's not a bad thing, as I know both canine and human Rufus/Max/Riley/Jake's and love them all, but some people might not like that.
Off the top of my head I can think of 2 recent Finns on TV--Meredith's vet boyfriend a couple of seasons back in Grey's Anatomy and one of the main characters from Glee. It can also be short for Phineas. |
| sounds like a winner to me |
