| agree with the 1047 poster. Have them check for immune disorders and clotting issues. So, I had mulitiple miscarriages and failed iVFs. They never actually did any blood work for clotting disorders or immune issues (NO CLUE WHY) and i didnt know back then to ask. BUT, empirically, they put me on aspirin and prednisone to "see if it would help" and it did. Subsequently after my IVF baby turned 1 year old, I discovered that i have a serious clotting disorder. So, I believe that that was the cuase of all the miscarriages and failed implantations and that the reason my 4th try ended up working was because of the aspirin and prednisone. |
We found lots of stuff. Some HLA incompatibilities plus elevated NKs and TNF, several clotting factors and I also have a genetic haplotype that predisposes me to autoimmune conditions. I ended up being on various dosages of Neupogen plus prednisone, intralipids, lovenox and synthroid (no ATA just slightly hypo) for my successful pregnancies. This was after still miscarrying twice on IVIG. I believe Neupogen was the difference maker all around, but I did still have issues during my pregnancies tied to implantation issues. DC2 had IUGR which we were able to reverse with intralipids and with DC3 I had something called CVP, both of which deal with placental function. I attribute all my immune treatments before DC1 to making that pregnancy a smooth one. After two failed pregnancies on IVIG protocol AEB put in place, Braverman was the one who prescribed my Neupogen. I have 3 Braverman babies thanks to him! He was the only one prescribing it back in 2011 and I was definitely one of his first round of patients at the time. |
