Average cost of infant care at a center?

$2200 here in Rockville for 9-6pm.

I just called a bunch of centers today, doing research for our nascent toddler.

Bright Horizons in downtown DC tend to run about $2500-2700 for full day care.
Bambini is $2500
Federal government agency-aligned daycares seem to run from $1400 to about $2000 to for full day.

I'm so pissed that my Federal agency doesn't have a day care. It's total BS.

I pay $400 a week for an infant at a center in Fairfax. All the centers we toured in the area were in the same ballpark.
