Another stretch.

The President "defended" his murder? Care to provide a citation for that?

What exactly do you want the US to do? Go to war with Saudi Arabia? Lose an ally and put the Middle East in a worse position than it is now? Sure, we could sanction them, but is that in the world's best interests? Probably not.

A swing and a miss.

The President said, "maybe he (crown prince Mohammed bin Salman) did it and maybe he didn't."

He didn't say, "Yeah, MSB did it, but Khashoggi had it coming." Now THAT would be defending his murder. These two statements are worlds apart.

Kisk them out of the embassy. Put the wash post there.

While I think the US government should take further action (significant further action), I'm a little uncomfortable with localities interjecting themselves into sensitive diplomatic situations. I feel the same way about Nemetsov.

Yes, what's a dead US based journalist and 20,000 dead Yemeni children so long as your oil prices stay low. There's a lot of ways to measure the world's best interests, and many of us prize an adherence to international norms of decency.

Let's make this clear. Khashoggi is not an American hero. He is no Lafayette and if you think he is, you have never thought about the streets you drive along.

Did he deserve to be killed? No, absolutely not. Do we know what his motivations were. Well, sort of and while they were not antithetical to us, his friends were.

I will never condone the techniques used by KSA on this issue, but do not confuse this awful murder with the actions of an American patriot. Mr. Khashoggi's enablers saw America as the primary target and KSA simply as a target of opportunity.

What did khashoggi do for America? Non-issue with applying Maginstsky Act (may he rest in peace) but renaming streets is absurd.

By exposing MBS as a murderous tyrant Khasoggi is a martyr to the cause of good governance in Saudi Arabia...and hopefully his death will catalyze some action to end the conflict in Yemen. There’s a statue of Gandhi near DuPont circle. We are capable of honoring people who do good for other countries.

You are comparing Khashoggi to Gandhi. God we have the attention spans of mosquitos in this country.

I love It. Prince MbS is a murderous pig who is unfit to lick the soles of Khashoggi’s shoes.

Ultimately, won't this need to be approved by Congress?

I saw this posted on FB with a caption “Troll level: Jedi”!
