Like George Zimmerman? |
Yeah George's drivers license and arrest record say white. But when he was charged with a racist killing he was Hispanic. Very similar to this white identifying parent who wants to claim his child is a URM during the admissions process. |
If your child self identifies as Hispanic, then check that. It’s all a NS game anyway. |
BS game |
You mean, what's on the kid's driving license? Easy answer: Has none. |
![]() Based on that, the kid should certainly list all 3, and probably even a few more! |
Like more than 50% of US latinos. You need to grow up. |
My DCs are 1/4 Asian and 3/4 Caucasian. I put both on their applications, despite the fact that one looks 100% white and the other looks mixed. |
My kids have one parent who was born in the Middle East. Damn straight I'd put that on any application that asked about ethnic background. It happens to be true. I wouldn't identify them as any non-white racial category or as an underrepresented minority, if that was the question asked. And I wouldn't identify either kid (nor would they identify themselves) as a 'person of color,' but I know many people from the Middle East who routinely describe themselves that way. |
Yeah I guess one of her ancestors paid $5. |
On the census, people from the Middle East are indicated to choose white. |
Paraphrasing Obelix, These Americans Are Crazy. |
Under the “Faux-cahontas” standard, pretty much everyone can check the URM box. |
Click on the other button and include the child’s preference ![]() |
As a true POC, this is so darn frustrating. Y'all white people want to have all the things. Your kid is white. If he's not being hassled by cops for his hoodie or looking suspect at TSA, your kid is white. |
