SO glad the kids had a good piano teacher, did lots of recitals, tried judged recitals. (They stopped by high school but got way past our minimum goal for them.)
Glad the kids did some sports. Glad I didn't push them too hard in any particular sport. (Choose the sports that are outdoors and don't involve a long commute.) Glad we did art classes. I guess I wish we'd done more art in late elementary and middle school. Can't make them do it in high school. Glad I gave them lots of free time. Glad for every hike we took. One thing I would have done is take them to the swimming pool a lot more often. They were afraid of water and afraid to learn, and I thought it'd get better when they got older, but it didn't. They can still barely swim. |
any of the big tutoring services or places that deal with homework help for the adhd set. my info on that kid is too dated to be more precise. |

Non regret: sending my kids out for pro theatre auditions when they were little. School is too intense now, but they've had great experiences and are union eligible if they want to pursue it later.
Regret: not researching music teachers better when current teacher said it was time for my kid to move on to a new teacher. Went w/ her recommendation & should have researched other teachers to find best fit. |

I agree. |

no regrets. i'm really glad I put her in a very technical kind of ethnic dance at a young age - she ended up pulling out at 13, but she learned discipline, hard work and to stick at things she doesn't love. Also it set up her fitness level for high school - she's very fit.
