| Please talk to an actual physician or even a nutritionist. OP, this makes sense to you because it seems like common sense. There is a reason that the peer reviewed (by experts with MD/PhDs) research is all over the place with alcohol. We don't know. Alcohol has calories, more calories than out equals weight gain. |
True, we don’t drink a lot of cocktails. It is very recent for women to drink cocktails and it comes from American tv shows i remember being surprised when I moved here By thecocktail culture, including at brunch time. We also don’t drink as much beers as our neighbors (brits and German). We drinkalso way less sodas and orange juice/ smoothie. Overall Americans drink more of their calories than we do, especially because of sugar but even ethanol content: I drink more here than in France.
And yes to the other point, women, big city ones at least, just don’t eat as many calories. You will see people eating heartily at a restaurant but the truth is that they don’t eat much outside (a black coffee for breakfast, a salad or a soup at the other meal, no snack whatsoever during the day, seriously). Thereisnofrench mistery, skinny women don’t eat many calories that’s all |
