| Is there a way to know how many took an offer in Oct.? bruce Monroe offered 26 to english dominant kids in June, July and Oct it looks like. I can assure you the most did not take it, certainly not in Oct. |
|
Are the counts cumulative? If a school lists 2 offers in June, 2 in August and 2 in October, did the school offer 2 spots total or 6?
Thanks! |
| PP here - should have read the instructions before posting. Looks like they are cumulative, so in this case, the school made 2 waitlist offers, right? |
It means 2 total. |
| Interesting that JKLMs opened spaces in the lottery. |
A couple always do. But which JKLMs make offers to the OOB on their WL shifts around from year to year. |
|
Hardy is interesting.
Fewer total seats offered, especially for 8th. But nearly 3x more for 7th as last year. 16-17 6th 82 7th 32 8th 27 17-18 6th 78 7th 20 8th 24 18-19 6th 57 7th 55 8th 2 |
Other than that they have some of the worst scores in the city, the issues with teacher attrition, lack of leadership, the fact that they are broke and can't pay bills, bullying issues, behavior issues? Besides that? No, they still attract white hippies

I think you mean yuppies. I’m all for equity, but I want more creativity for their mind. Or a green world. |
I don't see what you see. If that is the case the Aug WL offers would be significantly higher than June's. Other than PK3 (5 offers in June and 13 in Aug), I don't see a huge difference in their offers. |
| October is supposed to have the highest amount of offers. Many families will not move after school starts so it takes a lot to fill one spot. |
they aren't even close to having some of the "worst scores" in the city. Its actually diverse and the PTA is a fundraising machine on par with a WoTP school, beautiful grounds and facilities. yes there are issues but the parents I know there love it and we keep trying to get in. |
I believe those numbers are from early August. My number for ITS K dropped over 60 spots from August 1 to October 5. |
For a school of predominantly non-economically disadvantaged students, even when you factor in the SN students, their scores are very low. |
Or at least irresponsible. And not very nice. |
