Weigh in on this: would you try one dose of morphine?

You didn't vomit??? I wish I reacted like you. At least the nausea makes using it recreationally a turn off...

I've heard of people vomiting from Demerol and Percocet.

Really? For me (I had an ectopic pregnancy that was about to rupture), my pain disappeared instantly That was the euphoric part. I did feel euphoria, but it was cancelled out pretty quickly by nausea which kind of put a damper on it

Vomiting is a super common side effect of all opioids, for sure. Or at least nausea.

I feel crappy on opioids so no I wouldn't try it.

I'd take a medically-controlled Propofol nap though any day.

It was wonderful for me. I felt such contentment and ease. No side effects other than sluggish digestion and romanticizing my experience on a very powerful drug.

I'm such a goody-goody that I don't even know how a random person gets access to morphine!

I had an Ativan once when I went to the ER and they needed to relax me. I felt amazing on that and could totally see how people get addicted! I had zero concept of anything happening around me. I thought we were there for an hour and months later while talking to a friend I mentioned how the last time I went to the ER I was in and out in an hour and my partner just looked at me and laughed. Apparently we went in at 6 PM and I was discharged at 2 am! I didn't believe her until she showed me videos. My phone had died and I'd requested hers to use. I took a bunch of drugged up selfies and videos of total nonsense.

I'm pretty sure one of the only ways to get pure morphine when you are NOT in a hospital is via a hospice doctor for the very, very end of life.

What are you going to do, steal from a dying person so they can't have pain relief? And when a person passes, pretty much the first thing the hospice nurse does is take ANY controlled drugs, including morphine back or destroy it down the drain and make a record of it.

Stick to the natural stuff - if you want to experiment try Shrooms. So much fun and I have yet to hear of anyone addicted to them though I have heard of bad trips. Eat them with peanut butter!

I can’t do opiates. Love how they make me feel, and hate how they make me feel. I get seriously nauseous, headache, and clench my jaw until I want to rip my head off from the pain. Not worth the high.

Just smoke some really good weed.

I hate opioids. They make me itchy, sweaty, and constipated. Give me Ativan or Xanax instead. But for fun times, just stick with pot.

Nope. If I try one thing though, I'd like it to be Psilocybin.

I've never done pot (and don't care to), and rarely drink. But psilocybin has me curious.

LOl. yes.
Morphine and other narcotics make me feel like absolute CRAP.

Now, the propofol nap I had during a colonoscopy? I could do that daily.
I just need a anesthesiologist who makes house calls.

Why morphine? You could take some Percocet and fall asleep and then be constipated. You could take some Vicodin and feel euphoric and happy. Every time I take Vicodin for dental surgery / issues I think “this must be why people do drugs” and then I properly dispose of the extras.

Reactions to drugs depend on the individual. Having had unpleasant side effects to low-risk pain meds, I would never just try something for fun. That seems immensely stupid to me.
