What grade do honor roll assemblies start in FCPS?

I think they are stupid. I made straight As my entire life and we never had an honor roll, honor society or anything else. I never once felt bad because there was no ceremony to tell me how awesome I was. And now that I have a child who struggles in school, they’re even worse because he never gets mentioned in things even though he’s doing his best. I hate seeing his face light up and fall at awards ceremonies when he never gets called.

Your straight A kids are just fine.

We had honor societies growing up. I'm sorry your child is struggling, but kids don't have to go and sit through it if they're not getting recognized.
