So is my child, but I was one of two parents in the 9th period class. Apparently there were others in my kid's group's classrooms earlier in the day.

Call me old fashion but I was expecting teaching and learning to take place in high school.

With a substitute teacher--in high school--probably not. You're lucky they weren't watching a movie.

Few students were on their smartphone some might be watching a movie.

Is that the only class you sat in on?

Yes, because that is the class my DD complain the most about specifically about the loud students.

Interesting work going on in most classes, especially magnet classes. Seemed like normal day according to my kid (not a "dog & pony" show). Eng was OK, just going over essay requirements, & kids doing peer review. Fun test review for US Hist, parents got to join in.

Good to see class in action.

Count your blessings, late bloomers seem bored in regular classroom.

What I saw in the 4 Blair 10th grade CAP classes I attended was AWESOME. I'm so pleased. Such interesting work and classroom discussions and projects.

I guess our children are in different groups. What was your impression of the class?

I do, thanks. But always good to be reminded. We are very grateful.
