Audi and BMW both score higher in reliability according to Consumer Reports than both Acura and Infinity. Acura in fact is below average. You need to update your understanding of the relative reliability of the brands. Honda/Acura has lost their way while other brands have caught up and surpassed them. |

I'd vote for Civic Si as well. It's the same size as a 3-series or A4. Sure it looks like Darth Vader's helmet, but it'll be undeniably sporty, and a sedan.
You can also go for a new Accord Sport with the 2.0T engine. It's more expensive and less nimble than the Civic but looks more grown-up and will feel more luxurious. |
| DH loves his new infinity 2-door sport (coupe?). Can't speak to used models or reliability. |
I picked up a used 2013 G37X fully loaded off lease for about $20K back in 2015. Really fun car to drive and I havent had any problems with it. Back seats are a little tight with rear facing car seat but works fine once they are front facing. |

Buick has a cute convertible that actually has some pretty high depreciation and is extremely reliable. Buick rates high than the rice burners cars.
Would not buy new due to depreciation. But depreciation is your best friend when buying used. |
Rice burner?? The 70's called and they want their dumb boomer pejoratives back. |
| Infiniti is Nissan, which has lackluster quality. Look at a Lexus IS. |
Thank you for having the courage to say rice burner. I called a motorcycle a rice rocket the other day and nobody knew what i was talking about. |
