She's sick, OP, this isn't about "toughing it out." She needs help in the short-term, and then you need to think together about how to change things for the long-term.
If at all convenient, see if The Women's Center can help; they have locations in DC and Vienna, VA. Your family needs more than solely mental health care for your wife, and they offer comprehensive services. If not there, see what other local crisis centers have to offer. |

Can you get a home equity line of credit or cash in some of your IRAs or 401(k)? HELOCs are now about 5% interest, far better than credit cards.
I hope your wife finds the treatment she needs to get back on her feet soon. |
