My kids attend a religious private school. They pray every day. They say the pledge. They also practice what to do if a shooter comes in to the building. Because every sane person knows that God isn’t going to stop that psycho with an automatic weapon looking to kill innocent kids and adults.

Please. We have a secular home, and our child is one of the kindest, most compassionate human beings I have ever known. We regularly package food at the Food Bank, volunteer at other institutions, and donate to several charities. Even though there is no god in our lives.

Can't read The Post but I'm aware that school shooting happened well before now. But what we are seeing now is just unreal. When I was a kid in school we never worried about a school shooting. It just wasn't even on my radar. Now? The kids are doing school shooter drills. What has changed?
